I Am Infuriated By Some People

My mother in law. 🤬

How is it that my father in law makes 25 dollars an hour to support him and his wife, yet they are constantly borrowing money from ME who has no job and no income??? 🤔

The money I have is the money I've saved and held on to for months, keeping it for my and my fiance's necessities and pet supplies until I can get out of this house. Yet every week my MIL asks to borrow it!!!

She blows all of her money on playing Bingo, buying lottery tickets, eating out 2-3 times a day EVERY DAY, buying cigarettes, and running up credit card and pawn shop debt...then comes to ME when she runs out and needs to buy basic household stuff like propane for the stove (our only way to prepare meals).

I FUCKING HATE THIS WOMAN!!!😡😡😡

Are you paying rent?
Have you considered moving?
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@JoeyFoxx it means they're being unsupportive without all the facts, which makes their opinion irrelevant. Good day.

@DearAmbellina2113
Nice try tho.
Oh, are we arguing?
I assumed you were looking for constructive ideas to help.
If you just need a place to complain, I'll show myself out.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@Budwick well it sure looks like you were trying to argue. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Did it really feel like your best option was to promise to marry a guy who moves you into his parents’ home to end up stranded without an exit plan?
@DearAmbellina2113 Point on the doll where I judged you. Anyway, good luck with it all.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@SeriouslyFlippant oh you clearly judged my ability to make rational choices when faced with no other options. Dont act innocent.
@DearAmbellina2113 Why would I? lol I moved my family in with my mother for 3 months while we transitioned back to my home state. It’s not a big deal. Not sure how I triggered your defense mechanisms.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
$25 an hour isn’t that much. Especially if he’s the only one in the house with an income.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@DearAmbellina2113 Once you moved in with them you lost the moral authority to make judgments about their finances. They could be charging you rent and insisting you pay half the other household expenses.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@StevetheSleeve well considering we never wanted to move here and the fact that they promised a bunch of stuff which they never delivered on, I'd say them having us here doing all their cooking and cleaning and pet care makes us even.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@DearAmbellina2113 Best of luck to you on finding your way out of that.
Synyster · 51-55, M
Well, you need to figure something out real quick before you go flat broke. Does your fiance work?
Synyster · 51-55, M
@DearAmbellina2113
That truly sucks, come to Canada, we'll find you jobs.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@Synyster I'd love to live in Canada!!
Synyster · 51-55, M
@DearAmbellina2113 I'd rather have an American then some immigrants we let in.

I can relate to this. My MIL claimed she hadn’t worked in several years due to no one being willing to hire her. My husband supported himself, her, his two younger siblings and uncle for over 6 years. I moved in to help with the burden and I pleaded with my job to consider her. It took well over 6 months for them to say yes they would hire her. I was ecstatic. But then a couple weeks passed and nothing happened. I questioned the ladies of the department about the delay who informed me that she had turned down the position. This job was M-F paid holidays off, vacation time, sick days and a job that she had several years experience in. I was furious but didn’t let her know I knew. After my husband and I moved out away, she casually mentioned one night about the job offer and said how she’d turned them down because she felt the job was beneath her. Meanwhile my poor brother in law is struggling at 20 years old to try and support himself and her lazy selfish entitled ass. I’m sorry about your experience with your mother in law. It can be frustrating as hell.
