I wish more people cared about the indigenous peoples

Helping out neighboring reservations is depressing work. I do it because I want to help but it just sucks being reminded of how much we're on our own. We have to work together and watch out for our own because no one else is going to. People of other ethnicities get reparations and whole movements devoted to fighting to end their oppression. We don't get any such attention, but we get to hear all about how people of other races have it the worst. For many of us, that's just how it is, but I don't think it's something I'll ever get used to.

Like the aboriginal /outback communities.
Shut down industry and blue collar jobs. Drop a alcohol shop and a dole office..
claim to be the ones to save them from these terrible circumstances..
Never actual change any circumstance..
Blame everyone else..
Rinse wash repeat
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout It seems to be the same thing everywhere. These supposedly passionate stances against oppression and sexual violence, it's all a big fat joke.
@PerchingDove it’s all in the virtue signalling

@PerchingDove of course it is, do you think these warmongering pocket lining politicians or trillion dollar corporations care about anyone else?

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout you are telling me that people who just hashtag things in view of their friends and have never volunteered a day in their lives actually don’t care about other people?
@pianoplayingsteve shocking right 😏
