I wish more people cared about the indigenous peoples

Helping out neighboring reservations is depressing work. I do it because I want to help but it just sucks being reminded of how much we're on our own. We have to work together and watch out for our own because no one else is going to. People of other ethnicities get reparations and whole movements devoted to fighting to end their oppression. We don't get any such attention, but we get to hear all about how people of other races have it the worst. For many of us, that's just how it is, but I don't think it's something I'll ever get used to.
Like the aboriginal /outback communities.
Shut down industry and blue collar jobs. Drop a alcohol shop and a dole office..
claim to be the ones to save them from these terrible circumstances..
Never actual change any circumstance..
Blame everyone else..
Rinse wash repeat

@PerchingDove of course it is, do you think these warmongering pocket lining politicians or trillion dollar corporations care about anyone else?

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout you are telling me that people who just hashtag things in view of their friends and have never volunteered a day in their lives actually don’t care about other people?
@pianoplayingsteve shocking right 😏

I am assuming your taking about Native Americans. My friend use to teach at Pine Ridge and I can understand. Well to me it seems to me like you need to be your own hero.
but isnt the problems in the US indian reservations based on the things happening on them. like i hear stories all the time about women being raped on them.
I don't think Buffy Saint Marie ever got used to it, either. Neither did I.
youre not burning down buildings.

I believe most people love humanity. And the indigenous people. It will get better over time.🤗

Indigenous peoples could refer to absolutely any group, depending on the context

@PerchingDove ‘People of other ethnicities get reparations and whole movements’ that is what these socialist identitarian states are about, split society into groups dependent on government and have them compete with each other
@pianoplayingsteve To many, it really seems to be a game to them to see who is the most oppressed. For us, it's no game, it's a reality. One can look it up themselves which demographic is the poorest and who suffers from sexual assault the worst.

@PerchingDove the the comfortable middle class, it is a game of virtue signaling how amazing they are. They get similar feelings doing so that a religious person does when they pray or preach. To the upper class and ultra rich, it is a way to manipulate society.

Humans, nor any animals, naturally have governments that redistribute resources. All life has been about the individuals competing for resources. There will be co operating within a family, that makes evolutionary sense, and among small tribes, but any larger especially nations of hundreds of millions of people, no sort of redistributing will work.
