I Love Physical Fitness

I love love love running and cycling but am hearing us ladies can benefit from lifting also...I am scared...don't want to get manly looking muscles.:S Any thoughts or advice? Good idea or no?

U must lift light if you dont want big muscles. And really there is nothing wrong with it. But honestly im sure you wont get muscles like that

she can lift heavy and if she wants to drop weight it’s actually recommended . women can’t build muscle to look like men less they are born muscular or on enhancing drugs . i wish muscle building was that easy! @496sbc

@NiftyWhite yeah but what are you going to consider heavy weight for her. I lift anything from 30’s to 55’s.

it’s subjective to her. heavy is generally when you fail at 6-8 reps because of muscle fatigue. if she can push to 10 reps increase the weight.
