Do you have road side collections?

How do you dispose of old refrigerators? Stoves, Beds/Mattresses?
Does your local Council provide a pick up service for unwanted items?
My Council does.
Need to put my old refrigerator on the verge on the 25th for free collection.
They wont pick up fridges or freezers with doors still attached.. death traps apparently..
just pile the shit out on the sidewalk. Eventually a council truck comes around..

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Yes, I will remove the doors.
Though if one was to lay it with the doors on the ground, no young child would be able to access it.
@Gusman they just leave it behind if it’s still attached here..

Only two times a year on designated Saturday’s. Some people put their things out a week before and let metal scrap collectors and people who might want to recycle other items pick through it too. Not as much stuff now as 10 years and before
Gusman · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti I had to book a day for pick up.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Gusman there’s a city north of mine that does that there, you get 2 free haul offs per year

TBH I'm not completely sure.

I live in DT Toronto and I see people put things like that out and other people drive by and pick them up...usually in an unmarked pickup truck or car. Some of them are even on foot LOL

My city has trucks that will pick up your stuff, as long as you place it by the street. It's free.
Gusman · 61-69, M
@U53RN4M3 Yes. Placed by 6 am, no sooner than 24 hours before pickup.
Pay a fee when I drop them at the dump for recycling.
Gusman · 61-69, M
@ImplodingVoices Would have thought they would pay you for some useful recyclable items 🤔
@Gusman not at the dump. If I looked around I may find someone who would, but not likely.
