I Lack a Sense of Family With My Family

Black Sheep is still a sheep.

I'm so sick and tired of how my parents treated me differently than my other siblings that I once introduced myself at a family wedding that goes,

'hello, I'm the black sheep of the family. Nice to meet you.' :)

I kinda know how it feels. For the longest time, I was the middle child.

@xRedx I don't understand why the need to treat the children differently..

@mistfox I remember my mom would favor my older brother and my dad my younger sister. I wasn't treated bad per say but I felt like I was just in the middle

@xRedx OMG. What did you do to stop being the middle child? 🕵
xRedx · M
@MarkPaul Nothing. But years after my youngest and last sister was born

@xRedx I'm the eldest child. My mom would favor my brother and my dad would favor my sister. No matter what I did or how excel I was in my studies, or work, it'll be never enough. They'll see me when they need something. Otherwise I'm just the other child. Oh, not to mention, everything wrong in the world, is my fault. Always my fault.

@mistfox Me too. I let my actions do my talking, in school and outside. I was clearly the better but they still favored him. It really doesn't bother me, as long as I'm in peace with myself. Because I know I won't change their minds.

@xRedx I recently made a self discovery. Since no matter what I do could change their way and view on me, I should just do things that will please me instead. :)
Still hurts tho.
For years, I thought it'd better if I wasn't born.
But now, I'm in pursue of my own happiness. A black sheep is still a sheep and this sheep is gonna be a happy, adventurous sheep! :D

@mistfox exactly! It shouldn't bring you down and it won't certainly bring me down as well. I felt the same, like I shouldn't have been born. Especially after something that happened. And you're right, deep down, it hurts but I won't change their minds.

In any case, you're right. Black sheep is still a sheep.

@xRedx thanks for sharing, Red. It made me feel lighter. :)

@mistfox Sure, you're welcome Fox. You're definitely not alone. 🙂
