@SapphicHeart I don't see Singapore on your list. They have the lowest crime rate in the world, the highest student test scores in the world and the strictest cp in the home, school and judicially. Liberal busybodies should mind their business.
@Strictgram
I got it, you've lost your mind. According to The World Economic Forum, Finland is ranked over Singapore when talking about safest place in the world. Guess what? Yea, you're right, Finland was one of the first countries in the world to prohibit corporal punishment of children, including in the home. Guess what more? Yea, you're right once more, Finland has the highest ranked educational system in the world. I won't even start telling you where to do your businesses, but a cell would be recommendable. I hope for you it's gonna be a single cell. I heard child molesters aren't given any free cards inside jails, they will be among the lowest ranked criminals at all.

@SapphicHeart You're one sick liberal! Parents have the freedom, within reason, to raise their kids as they see fit Commies like you should stay out of their lives. Maybe spend more time on your worthless gender studies.
@Strictgram
You call yourself a teacher? Better get liberal and communism straight before using words you won't know. The usual right wing slur doesn't work on me. You failed.

@SapphicHeart The funniest thing is that you can look at which US states have the best education systems and which ones have the worst - and it’s pretty goddamn obvious that only complete retards let teachers hit kids at this point.

@QuixoticSoul Define best.

@Strictgram States like Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, etc - consistently at the top of our state rankings, all banned corporal punishment. When you look at the bottom of the ranks, the situation somehow reverses itself.
Strictgram · 70-79, C
@QuixoticSoul Define rankings.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Strictgram noun
plural noun: rankings
a position in a scale of achievement or status; a classification.
Strictgram · 70-79, C
@QuixoticSoul Singapore has the highest student test scores in the world and the strictest discipline. Do you acknowledge the correlation?
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Strictgram China is #1. And corporal punishment is banned there. But I'm more interested in countries I'd actually like to live in.
Strictgram · 70-79, C
@QuixoticSoul China is NOT number one. Besides I wonder what Chinese student discipline is like.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Strictgram China is #1, and physical punishment is banned in schools. And if you take, say, top 20 in the world Singapore starts looking like an outlier.

It's also a one-party authoritarian country that I am not interested in emulating.

In the Western world, only the most backwards countries and areas let teachers hit kids. Because that shit is fucking dumb.
Strictgram · 70-79, C
@QuixoticSoul Every source I can find says Singapore is number one in student scores. But it's not worth arguing about. I never said I favored their type of government and I never said I favor school cp. But cp can change behavior and that's incontro vertible.

@SapphicHeart Friends I know in some countries on that list will confirm that though it may be law it's a law that no-one takes any notice of.

@SapphicHeart Reasonable cp in the home is legal in all 50 states. That's not about to change despite efforts from leftists like yourself.
