Christmas morning 2020 [I Love Animals and Nature]
Just wanted to share a tiny portion of our lives with you. No matter what season it is.. the first thing my awesome man does.. every single morning. Feed our friends. This is a small gathering.. at times we have had 18 hungry neighbors.
@PoetryNEmotion yup, we have wild turkeys here. You can hear them carrying on as they walk the woods. If we get up and have an early walk thru the woods... they have scared the daylights out of me.. they would be up in the trees and off they go.. kinda cool! Thank you my friend. @smiler2012 thanks! They are our friends, part of the family. I've watch the fawns grow up... from the spots to the button bucks. Some of the deer, we can get close to, just a few feet away while spreading their corn.
@wetncthru 😊 thanks... we sure do love sitting on the porch during warmer weather and watch them come out of the woods.. one by one. Good for the soul.
@PhoenixPhail no one hunts our property not even us. Tonight is going to be real cold. So we spread out more corn for them. There were 12 deer tonight feeding. The bucks are losing their points.. racks now. Can't wait to see if I can find some.
The mountain folks here live off the land. They respect and do not abuse the gifts of the land. It feeds their families.
@Stereoguy yes sir, every single morning and in the winter months, twice a day...again at night. Yup, a few dollars roll... at least we don't have to send them to college or dress them 😉
