Great photos! The black swans are beautiful. We see only white swans here!!
Gusman · 61-69, M
@Tomorrow Thank you.
We only have Black Swans here.
Though there are about 3 dozen White Swans living on the Avon River at Northam, about 60 miles from Perth.
They were brought here in 1896 by British Colonists

@Gusman That's cool. I wondered if you had white ones too - now I know.

@Tomorrow @Tomorrow The Australian black swan (Cygnus atratus) is completely black except for the white flight feathers on its wings; the chicks of black swans are a very light grey. In fact the chicks almost look white we get them in NZ too....they turn a light brown...then black quite quickly...I remember being fascinated by a nesting pair and their chicks when I was young...watching them change colour almost weekly....although that could be a fading memory.

I think those blue tongues are actually shingle backs or sleepy lizards. Blue tongues are different....well they are here have both types on my place.
Seewhoitis · 56-60, M

Gusman · 61-69, M
@Elevatorpitches I simply like being out in Nature, experiencing everything that is out there.
I like being the only person to see that Echidna Love Train, or that Dugite as it slithers over my boot.
Or that Boobook Owl peering down at me from it's hidey hole
That is good. Leave them be :) @Gusman
