I Hate Noise

People who talk a lot are incredibly arrogant.

What on earth makes them think everybody in the room wants to hear how their class is going? Or their opinions about impeachment?

I’m sitting obediently and quietly at my own desk, minding my own business, not bothering people. Why is it OK for you to just walk into the room unannounced and start babbling?

Thank god for headphones and Spotify.

I once had to take the train to Boston, without headphones, and two girls without brains began to chatter at one another the entire hour we were forced to endure them. I don't think they took a breath once.

@4meAndyou Sometimes when I see girls doing that, I give them the side eye and say (just loudly enough), “Drunk already?”

@IstillmissEP The people I was talking about are middle-aged, not older; and they were babbling on about their personal lives, mostly.

It doesn’t bother me. What I find interesting is when people have a headset and are walking around talking about very personal intimate things while being completely oblivious that everyone can hear them.
