I have something to say

Ok, I think we can all agree that we need immigration reform, but if America was in the middle of a war, and you decided to seek asylum in Canada, I'm sure you'd want some help too. Most of these immigrants are WORKING, as evident by the raids on businesses, where these people collect paychecks, which means they pay taxes. Which fund schools, infrastructure, roads, public transport, public libraries, every single one of them paid more in taxes last year, than Jeff Bezos, who made 500 billion.
The poor, undocumented immigrants, arent the problem, the rich are bleeding this country dry, and they're turning it around to make it a Mexicans fault 🙄🙄🙄🙄 rant over

Convincing people to blame their social problems on poor people with no power instead of rich people with power is one of the greatest and most reliable cons.

Yep. The rubes here who believe the shady real estate/reality show star guy is on their side, is testament to that. @CountScrofula
So.. your prepared to let just a few sex slaves get trafficked?.. so long as the majority that cross are good?

There is a point that you are overlooking here. The illegals are actively breaking our laws just by coming here "undocumented". And although part of the problem is that the laws are archaic and need improvement, another part of it is that the illegals are not willing to respect our laws, which makes them less than ideal neighbors to say the very least.
TinyViolins · 31-35, M
@GoodoldBob That shows a fear of report crimes committed against them. Not that the people committing crimes against them are other illegals. It could be by anybody

@TinyViolins You didn't actually read the post that you disagree with. Never mind, beam me up Scotty there is no intelligent life here
TinyViolins · 31-35, M
@GoodoldBob Neither did you. You said you spent 5 seconds on Google.

I've known about this trend for a long time. A report like this comes out every few years to see if anything's changed. It's focusing on victims, not identifying perpetrators

How do you pay taxes without a Social Security Number?

Jeff Bezos paid taxes. Amazon paid taxes. They used tax loss carry forwards to avoid federal income taxes.

@TinyViolins @QuixoticSoul Maybe. I don't know enough about it.
What is an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)?

In 1996, the Internal Revenue Service created the ITIN to provide a way for noncitizens who earn income in the United States, including legally-present noncitizens who do not have Social Security numbers, to pay taxes on money earned in the United States while not being technically employed by a U.S employer. For example, ITINs allow foreign nationals to pay taxes on the interest earned in a U.S. bank or investment account. They also allow spouses of work-authorized visa-holders to pay taxes on self-employment income, among other uses.

Most experts believe that the vast majority of tax returns filed with ITINs today are filed by undocumented immigrants rather than the intended recipient groups—a few categories of noncitizens who do not have a Social Security number and are not authorized to work but who are still earning income and legally residing in the United States. In 2010, ITINs were used to file over 3 million federal tax returns.

How Does One Obtain an ITIN?

All that is required to obtain an ITIN is an application form that requires basic information such as one’s name, date of birth, and address, along with a filled-in federal income tax return, and proof of identity— not proof of work authorization or proof that you are in the United States legally. Those with Social Security numbers are not eligible to receive an ITIN. Once an undocumented immigrant has an ITIN, they are able to legally file tax returns.

Tax information on ITIN holders is legally protected under privacy laws and cannot be shared with the Department of Homeland Security or Immigration and Customs Enforcement, thus an undocumented worker can obtain one without fear of the information being used to find and deport them. While this disconnect is a source of ongoing tension between the agencies, sharing this information would require legislative action—either a new law or an amendment to the Immigration and Nationality Act.
That’s how.

When you break the law, you are liable for the consequences. Entering the country illegally is a violation of 8 US Code 1325. No sugar coating that.

During the Holocaust, a lot of countries turned down Jewish people seeking asylum and refugee status. We all know how that turned out

You know, I tend to think your hatred of white people is kind of ridiculous, but you're spot on here.

Remind me during which war did Americans flock to Canada in masses?
curiosi · 61-69, F
This is so far off base, it's useless. We aren't the worlds "Motel 6" and American citizenship is not a right.
Snuffy1957 · 61-69, M
Your rant might be over but I think you are dead center correct !
