I have something to say

Ok, I think we can all agree that we need immigration reform, but if America was in the middle of a war, and you decided to seek asylum in Canada, I'm sure you'd want some help too. Most of these immigrants are WORKING, as evident by the raids on businesses, where these people collect paychecks, which means they pay taxes. Which fund schools, infrastructure, roads, public transport, public libraries, every single one of them paid more in taxes last year, than Jeff Bezos, who made 500 billion.
The poor, undocumented immigrants, arent the problem, the rich are bleeding this country dry, and they're turning it around to make it a Mexicans fault 馃檮馃檮馃檮馃檮 rant over

There is a point that you are overlooking here. The illegals are actively breaking our laws just by coming here "undocumented". And although part of the problem is that the laws are archaic and need improvement, another part of it is that the illegals are not willing to respect our laws, which makes them less than ideal neighbors to say the very least.

@GoodoldBob They're not willing to respect one law in order to save their children. They're not here to rob, kill, rape, and vandalize, so it's not like they're career criminals. Just people forced to make a tough decision in a bad situation

@TinyViolins Some are. Some are not. And there is no way to vet them if they bypass immigration.
TinyViolins31-35, M
@GoodoldBob That's a false equivalency. Multiple studies confirm that undocumented immigrants commit crimes at a fraction of the rate of the normal population. Why would they risk their lives and their safety in crossing the border just to throw it all away in a strange country?
GoodoldBob61-69, M
@TinyViolins That is a made up statistic. Useful for making points in the minds of the simple. Fact is that a lot of it goes unreported because the victims are other illegals who want to remain under the radar.
TinyViolins31-35, M
@GoodoldBob What do you have to confirm that all those studies were made up? You don't even know which ones I was referring to.

And what facts do you have to confirm that their crimes go unreported?

@TinyViolins Five seconds on google would show you. The ACLU agrees with me and they are crazy-ass liberal

TinyViolins31-35, M
@GoodoldBob That shows a fear of report crimes committed against them. Not that the people committing crimes against them are other illegals. It could be by anybody
GoodoldBob61-69, M
@TinyViolins You didn't actually read the post that you disagree with. Never mind, beam me up Scotty there is no intelligent life here
TinyViolins31-35, M
@GoodoldBob Neither did you. You said you spent 5 seconds on Google.

I've known about this trend for a long time. A report like this comes out every few years to see if anything's changed. It's focusing on victims, not identifying perpetrators
