I Have Dark Thoughts Sometimes

I sometimes wish my in laws would just die already. They have done so much to me and my husband to make our lives miserable...it's natural for my mind to wander to the utopian scenario wherein they're both passed away.

Disclaimer: I am not a violent or psychopathic person and I would never do anything to harm my in laws. I just like to imagine a world without them in my life.

As the saying goes, you can pick your friends but you can't pick your relos!

Just cut off those toxic people from your life. 😑🤗 I can understand what you are going through.

[@372543,Vivaci] as soon as I am not living with them, I will.

[@831314,DearAmbellina2113] I hope you get a chance to do that too. And soon. But the important thing is cutting them off emotionally. Which means that you don't get affected by anything that happens to them, good or bad.

[@831314,DearAmbellina2113] It may be more important what you imagine of your life if they weren't impinging your life :(

I had to live with my outlaws for about 12 months whilst I did a house build. It was horrible, every week was the same and I couldn't wait to leave. I will say that I'm not looking forward to when my mil is old and unable to make rational decisions etc. She dramatizes everything and is very negative. I too admit I think of the time when they will not be around anymore and my life will be a tad easier.
