I Am Against Slavery Of All Kinds

I don't understand why some U.S. citizens say America was great during the time of slavery. Do these people even think at all? I don't know how keeping someone as a slave up until the abolition of slavery, selling them, beating them, treating them like cattle, and working them to death would constitute to America being great during that time in history.

@dark548 I doubt it,not that I like Trump at all nor do I think he will make anything great...but,doubt there is any quote saying we think slavery was a great thing
