A stray cat has decided to make my garden his home. He's a kitten and his mom seems to have abandoned him.

I don't know what to do.I am not a cat person. I actually have a strong dislike for them. Never really liked animals too much anyway.
We give him milk twice a day. But... He climbs the window grill peers inside and keeps meowing a lot. And if we happen to get outside the house and he spots us he keeps meowing non stop.
I don't understand him. What does he want?

@RamessesII You're right but kittens aren't; adult cats are.

He is hungry, and he wants his mommy. Don't feed him milk. Cows milk is not good for him. If you are feeding him he will eventually make the outside of your home his home.

Cherokeepatti, on this site, has been feeding a wild kitten for more than a year. She makes scrambled eggs for him.

Goats milk is good for cats and more nutritional than cows milk and it's easy to find
he needs love. take him in and feed him. if you can't keep him find a no kill shelter in your area and they will take him. he can turn out to be a good companion in the right home. good luck

You fed it. It owns you now as a food source. You either find it another home, take it to the animal shelter or break down and admit you have a cat.

Please don’t give him cow’s milk or it’ll make him have a digestive upset - you can get kitten milk from the shop which is relatively lactose free. He may be old enough for semi-solid food anyway.
He’s meowing because he’s asking for help. He’ll be lost and scared.
There’s a YouTube channel called Kitten Lady with all the info you need to take him in and look after him.
Doesn’t matter that you’re not a cat person, you posted here, so you must care.
He most likely won’t have anything or anyone to look after him at the moment which must be terrifying for him.
I probably just wouldn’t feed him. He wants food and since you give him milk he’s begging you for food now. I know that’s why a relative if my neighbors feeds a stray every day in an empty lot. That way it’s not personal and they can’t stalk her house.

He wants more food and he wants company, cats are very social animals and kittens need to eat four or more times a day..
Can you take him to an animal shelter?
Ask a neighbor or friend if they would take it?

get him or her to a shelter quick. It's much more likely someone will adopt while they're young
He wants a home and some love...if you give him a chance, he might just convert you..

Since you hate cats take it to a no kill shelter so it can find a good home
