[image]1st year med students were getting their first anatomy class with a real human dead body. They all gathered round the surgery table with the body laid out under a white sheet.
The professor started the class by telling them "In medicine it is necessary to have two important qualities as a doctor. The 1st is that you not be disgusted by anything involving the human body."
To give an example of this the professor pulled back the sheet, stuck his finger up the bum of the corpse, withdrew it and stuck it in his mouth. "Go ahead and do the same thing" he told his students.
The students all freaked out, hesitatating for several minutes, but eventually they all took a turn sticking a finger up the bum of the dead corpse and sucking on it.
When they had all done this the proffesor looked at them and told them, "The second most important quality of a doctor is observation. I stuck my middle finger in but I sucked my index finger!"
"I hope that has taught you to pay attention."
