@SkyeDaydream I really can't get into him, he jumps around too much in his stories. Have you read Red Sparrow? I can't remember the author off hand, but it's a wonderful read. I loved it. The movie is based on it.

Malazan Book of the Fallen series by Steven Erikson. Very detailed world, and characters with interesting backstories. A world where the gods are as capricious as we are, and who play their own version of Game of Thrones
