We should execute them all immediately.

My ex had a pug, it could hardly breathe, and was not the brightest animal.. i felt sorry for it.... the dog, not her... lol

Yep. Pugs and American Fantail pigeons are animals cruelly bred for shitty aesthetics. I'm sure there are many more, but these two specifically drive me up the wall.
Bulldogs can't breathe. They spend their entire lives gasping for air. It's the consequence of cross breeding.

Pugs are pugly as...
And breeding these things with already crap genetics may well be a form of animal cruelty...

neither should small dogs (poodles, chihuahuas, shih tzus, etc.). Completely friggin useless as a dog, can't survive on their own in the wild, and no nothing but irritate neighbors with their incessant yapping...
MissMoon · 26-30, F
I feel bad for those dogs, so many health complications. It's sad when people think appearance is more important than an animal's quality of life. They have feelings and should be treated as creatures with feelings.

Maybe the dog breeders should reduce their breeding of genetically fragile dogs. Since they're already practicing selective breeding, they should consider healthier breeds.

My brother wants one, but he's said he's going to adopt if he gets one.
thiccchungles · 22-25, F
@DDonde That's good. We need to stop breeding them.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
People are at risk of all kinds of health problems ..I guess we should not exist either..call in the Aliens!
thiccchungles · 22-25, F
@JaggedLittlePill That's not the point. We don't (or at least most) intentionally breed humans for the sake of cuteness and ignore obvious health problems they'll have. That's what we did to pugs. WE made them that way.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
@thiccchungles The breed is already here and it exists. Would you have us put down every pug in existence and would that truly be ethical?
No. It would not be, your point is moot.
If you want to stop the breeding then, absolutely go for it. Activism is a good way to go. Posting about it here won't make it happen. Just sayin'

@JaggedLittlePill I never said we should kill them all today lol. I just said
that they should not exist, which is true. And I have actively spoken out against breeders before. Obviously, posting about it won't help, but are you saying I shouldn't post at all about ethical issues because of that? What's the point of social media then?

Agreed, they've been bred to live a life of hell
