Sometimes it takes awhile

[c=000000]I'm recovering from having surgery earlier this week. It takes time for the body and mind to both recuperate and return to normal. I wish certain individuals realized that and not take it personally.

We cannot always be ourselves especially when you're dealing with a lot of emotional and physical issues during the healing process. Have a wonderful day everyone and a fabulous weekend. [/c]

I'm having my first ever surgery wednesday and I'm thoroughly freaked out.
[@371164,SooperSarah] Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way. I was fine until the morning of my surgery, but as I walked into the hospital I was calmer and realized there were lots of people who cared about me sending great vibes.
It will be alright, good luck to you.馃檹馃槉

Take the time to heal yourself, let everyone else worry about themselves. You deserve this time for you.馃憤馃憤
[@593738,rainguy] Good morning J, thank you so much. I think sometimes we are more concerned about other people's feelings, instead of our own. I'm definitely trying my friend. 馃槉馃

I sure hope you recover quickly .... 馃檹
[@1250,AllAboutLaffs] Thank you my friend, I kept it to myself basically and only told a couple of people. I'm taking it easy and following the doctor's orders, cannot wait to just have things get back to normal again. 馃

I know that feeling after I had open heart surgery. I was out for a while and some just abandoned me because I couldn't reply to them. Immature if you ask me.
Now, you take care of yourself and don't let anyone or anything bother you until you feel up to tackling some of those things.
Take care! 馃槉
[@527571,Rooster] Good morning my friend, thank you so much. I'm sorry that happened to you, a good friend should never abandon you especially during those very difficult times in your life when you're recovering and need their support.
I will for sure, truly appreciated. It's a slow going process and I'm trying to be patient. Have a wonderful day.鈾ワ笍馃

It's amazing how the body heals - I had a big surgery in 2018, each week, then month you get better.

The best part was when a friend stopped by one morning with some coffee and donuts...really cheered me up...

Hope you recover quickly.
[@64578,fun4us2b] Thanks so much and it's very true. Sometimes you don't realize how the post-op can affect your mental and emotional state.
fun4us2b61-69, M
[@1657,sensualbeauty1] Yes, acceptance and patience help, the experience changed me in that way...
[@64578,fun4us2b] I'm glad, I believe that's definitely the key. We're often so hard on ourselves and have such high expectations. It's realizing that we are only human and need to be both accepting and patient.

Well as you know, I've had ACL surgery on my knee 2 years ago.
I was lucky to recover quickly, it was supposed to be a long process.

You're doing just fine. Next week you'll be back to normal.
[@795132,Synyster] Thank you sweet man, yes I'm definitely feeling much better today. 馃拫馃鈽猴笍

Yes I believe that 100% about a person's overall mental health and physical well-being prior to having surgery. Most likely they do have a tendency to heal so much quicker post-op. 鉂わ笍馃

You're welcome darling, I can definitely tell you were feeling better today.

When you're prepared mentally for surgery, post op recovery is so much faster. Certainly being physically fit does help a lot.
Keep those positive thoughts and you'll be 100% back to your old self.
[@795132,Synyster] Thank you sweet man, considering it was so hot & humid today I didn't wilt like a daisy. 馃榿 It will take a little time but it's going to feel wonderful to have everything back to normal again.

Yes I concur, it's imperative for a much more speedy recovery. I definitely will, I'm usually pretty optimistic about so many things, thank you again, truly appreciated. 馃挒馃鈽猴笍
