Ever feel like there’s no way out?

rckt148 · 61-69, M
I have been there many times in my life
My hometown is the last place on earth you want to be stuck and broke ,
I was actually thinking of suicide over debt collectors back in the 80's
Living above my means and my wife leaves me ,lost my mind and my job and debt collectors tracking me down ,I just needed a little over 2 grand and I could get them off my back and not lose my home ,but all I found was No's and road blocks
and I was not about to move back home ,I would rather be homeless .
My Dad had money and so did my grandpa ,but I didn't want a hand out I wanted them to co sign a loan but both were on fixed incomes (even though both had large sums of money in the bank ) the bank would not accept them as co signers
and I was lying that I still had my job (like they wouldn't verify it )so all I was getting was you need money to borrow money even though until now I had a good payment history .

Dad always raised me "You got yourself into this ,get yourself out " so I would not accept a hand out from either of them ,but somehow ,I got through it .

In 1994 ,I was sleeping on cardboard ,on the hard ground in a hobo camp ,no where to go from there but up
within a short time I recorded an album and was doing concerts ,
Someone who did not know me from Adam heard me sing at a mission where I went to eat
They had little church services there twice a week
so all I had to contribute was a song
Not long after that the lady was my manager and my life turned around .
Thats what faith is to me ,seeing no where to turn
but years later look back and see how many times you felt that way ,,yet here you are
and you don't have a clue how it all happened
Your just grateful ,and now able to give back
Never loose hope ,your miracle might be watching you
just sing or whatever talents you have
Now I give what little I have to give ,it always comes back to me in ways I never expected ,even if its just a song

No, there’s always a way out or a solution. It depends on what you are willing to put in.

Yes, but then I realise, my thinking is limiting my options, so start approaching the issue from a different way

Yes, because short of a miracle there really is no way "out" for me.

I think there's a song in one of the Rocky movies called no way out.
Miram · 31-35, F
Yes, sometimes I do feel that way.

It passes.
