When you have a multitude of thoughts hitting you all at once, how do you organise them so you can deal with them effectively?

iMystery · M
Its best to write each one down... that way it gives a more clear idea as to which should be given first priority.

@SW-User 👀 Don't forget me now...
SW-User
@iMystery Don't let me forget you. 😏

@SW-User Noted 😏
Go-od morning, Aido! Stop. Breathe deeply. Then again. Then again. Seize the first thought. Closest one. Think on it. Deal with it. Then move to the next. Same thing. Then again. And again. Keep on going. Deal with each one. Like eating a nice piece of chocolate cake. One bite at a time. *grins* Come dance!
@SW-User Sometimes taking the time to sing and to dance helps too, dear one! You, Aido, are most welcome!
SW-User
@SW-User Thank you, my sweet! *blows you a sweet kiss* Have a fine day! xxxxx Thanks for the lovely dance!
Well, I’m not sure. That’s why I’m awake at 5 am.

@Native I hate those nights I don't sleep because of a busy mind.
They happen quite frequently for me, unfortunately. @SW-User

All I know is better too many ideas than too few!
We can harness this waterfall of ideas but there is no harnessing nada🤦‍♀️ @SW-User

I prioritise.
SW-User
@Wraithorn Good idea.

Be patient, and not anxious, hover over it all like a supreme being. One at a time is the divine edict you dispense.

@SW-User Wise, as always.

Triage, compartmentalise, deal with the most important things first and then come back around for a follow up of less important items and hope I don't forget anything.

Something that I came across that seemed to put things into perspective for me were 5 key elements.
SW-User
@NickiHijab Something you can elaborate easily?
NickiHijab · F
@SW-User It’s quite long winded but you can try it out too if you wish because I think this method is helpful.

The first key is the life audit. This is simply about understanding the problem or challenge you’re trying to solve in different areas of your life. Using this plan helps you to compartmentalise your life into different areas. (It’d help to write this down as you go along) these areas being;
Personal
Work/finance
Family/friends
Health and
Spirituality.
For each category, you rate where you’re at from 1 to 10. (10 being the best) and then you use a separate column to rate where you want to be by the end of the year in that category. Once that’s done, you work out the difference in the answers you gave for both questions then write it next to each category. For example if you’re at a 4 in spirituality and want to be at a 8 by the end of the year, you have a difference of 4.

Second key: Life edit. Which area did you identify with the biggest gap? This is the area you now focus on. This category becomes your life edit. Write down what it’ll feel and look like when you achieve your goal in that area.

3: Life Debit. What do you debit, subtract or reduce in your life to reach your goal? Create a list of 3 things you need to remove from your life.

4: Life Credit: 3 things you need to add or introduce to your life

And finally 5: Life Accredit. Just acknowledging 4 things you’re grateful for. It helps more when you’re specific.

This just helps to give me clarity when my brain is trying to work on everything at once. Hope it helps if you do decide on trying it😊
SW-User
@NickiHijab Thats really helpful. Thank you!
kentex35 · 100+, M
I assign each to a voice. That way the voices are busy and i can get something done.
SW-User
@kentex35 I did that today. It's like a gladiators arena in there.
kentex35 · 100+, M
@SW-User Yeah it can get out of hand. You never know what those fuckers are up to
SW-User
@kentex35 🤣
Throger · 26-30, M
Honestly... can’t tell you. I hope everything is okay... hang in there
Throger · 26-30, M
@SW-User I get it... I really do. Now more than ever. If you ever need anyone I’m a message away ☺️
SW-User
@Throger Thanks. I saw your post and I almost replied to it. But I thought anything I say to that would be too cynical.
Just take it easy. :)
Throger · 26-30, M
@SW-User I don’t really care heh... I’m trying... thank you

I ask myself what is my goal and then choose the thoughts that would best serve my purpose...
SW-User
@Unlearn Smart.
popmol · 22-25, M

I don't think we can always organise them.. we can try, and it's a good thing to do.. but sometimes we just have to roll with the punches.
btchstfu · F
first come first serve
SW-User
@btchstfu I think I am lulled into that, but the thought of another night of no sleep stops me from just napping.
btchstfu · F
