@alan20 One of my favorite books of all time is The Year of the French by Thomas Flanagan which I have read countless times. My ambition is to walk the same route they took...I have strong legs!

@Abrienda Brahms and Dvorak were great admirers of each other's music. I love the Russians : Melody and nostalgia! If I were to have music at my funeral it would be the slow movement of Rachmaninov's 2nd. Symphony. Have to go out shortly but we'll keep in touch, friend.

I hope so...and yes Brahms was a well-liked man. I am also an especial fan of Russian opera and church music, speaking of Rachmaninov.

@SW-User Thank you, I learned that when I came to live/work in the Middle East and it took me a year to do so. Now life is a lot easier.

@antonioio Yes ... the Chinese have a saying "All life is regret" which is actually meant to say what I think you mean...meaning just get on with it.
