You can cure them of it. Wear rubber gloves the next time you dine with them and when they chew open-mouthed, scoop the food out of their mouth and throw it on the floor. Repeat as needed till they get it.

My 12 year old does this. Then when I tell him not to talk with his mouth full he opens his mouth really wide and shows his food. If I didn’t love him so much I’d beat him senseless...lol
