I am PARANOID AS HELL about Human Trafficking!

The movie TAKEN just made me even more... "AWARE"

TexChik · F
In the US , New Mexico is a problem according to some young women I have talked to . They don't do out without several people being with them , they are armed as soon as they legally can be . They said that girls get snatched from just about anywhere . It's a huge problem
iMystery · M
@TexChik Yeah I have also implemented this as a rule for my kids when I cannot be around. No one goes anywhere alone... Always all together even if it is just a few meters down the road... anywhere further than that, they have to wait for me to be around to accompany them.

I take them to school and arrange for them to be collected again after school. Very soon I will be giving my car for my eldest daughter to take to school and back (and the school is literally just around the corner from where we live) and she would have to pick up her twin sister at their school too.

They are not allowed to sleep out anywhere, not even at family member's houses, without my being there. One exception is when the eldest has to visit her mom some weekends or holidays, in which case she always has her cellphone, with tracker active and I call more than twice a day at very random times to check on her.

@iMystery good for you. They also make very small GPS tracker chips . My son has one in his back pack , one laced into his tennis shoes , and another on his little key chain. I can see where he's at while I'm at work .
iMystery · M
@TexChik I need to look into that... thanks 🤔
Miram · 31-35, F
Same. I am very protective of my siblings and they laugh about it. I grew up in different times than them. And it's so difficult to let go and accept they are safer.
iMystery · M
@Miram Yeah Algeria is/was a problem... but even IF I were in Canada, it wouldn't change a damn thing about how protective I am!

NO PLACE is ever safe as far as I'm concerned. I trust no one with my kids.
Miram · 31-35, F
@iMystery Agreed, nowhere is 100% safe. Even countries that have a reputation of good living conditions and security.
iMystery · M
@Miram Exactly! The only security I trust is what I bring to the table myself.

Liam Neeson isn't throat punching someone in this scene. *ding*
iMystery · M
@bearinthebigbluehouse Who needs a throat punch when he has a gun? He is not Chuck Norris 😂
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
I'll trade you residences, I need some excitement
iMystery · M
@Jackaloftheazuresand Lol no thank you.
You can never be too protective. Safety comes first.
iMystery · M
@InOtterWords Agreed 100% all the way!
@iMystery and we need to protect our boys just as much
iMystery · M
@InOtterWords Yip.. sons and daughters.
