I wouldn’t say that, but I would say someone’s true colors come out when they are mistreated, which doesn’t necessarily entail anger or disagreement. The way they handle mistreatment says everything about them.

@Trippin Anytime! The way I see it. Nice people want something in return, so their positive approach is circumstantial and therefore fake. Kind people want nothing in return, so their positive approach depends on nothing and is true to them. That’s something you can see immediately in how they react to someone mistreating them.
Not necessarily. Anger always brings out the worst in us, and often we say something that we might regret later. And most of the times, we really don’t mean it.
If you want to see if a person is really kind, test their jealousy.

true colors are often hidden, for sure.
As an aside, I once (it was winter 2009 during the Obama inaugural week) ate dinner in a restaurant next to Cyndy Lauper and her band/entourage. She looked exhausted but put on her polite face when a diner would approach her with a kind word or autograph request. I respected her privacy and allowed her time to enjoy her dinner.

Oh, I don't know. I think when anyone gets angry, a different part of one's personality comes out simply because it's emotion. The acid test is whether or not it lingers too long.....and of course, the offense itself. It is then perhaps we must take an honest look at ourselves and whether we were the catalyst.

@Freeranger 🤔

No. People are multi-faceted.
Trippin · F
@Coppercoil Indeed. So many seem to confuse your current thoughts...with who you are. 🤔

No, not usually. It's more how often and the way someone reacts when they are angry or just disagree, that can really can show a person's "true colors".
In one instance, what a person said and did in a jealous rage was enough for me.

I spend a lot of time looking at people holistically but I am more wary after I see a red flag
Trippin · F
@summersong I hear you... The big picture oftentimes throws a wrench in the gears of my thought. That red flag however stops the process and I'm gone. Trying to find balance. 🤷♀️

I think it depends on how they get angry or disagree.
Trippin · F
@bijouxbroussard Definitely an important factor in that equation. Thanks for that. ❤
