"You can love women or you can understand women, but never both". What are your thoughts on this statement?

Surely you can only make the effort to understand a woman if you love her?

Actually I don't get this statement. To attempt to understand somebody of any gender is a loving act itself so you can do both in conclusion haha

This doesn't really make sense to me. It seems to me that if you really love someone, you'll try your best to understand them. And I think that the better you understand someone, the more deeply you can love them.

If you only love someone (or think you love someone) when you don't really understand them, then you don't really love them, you just love an idealized image of them that your mind has created. So I would have to say that I strongly disagree with this statement.

I don't think it makes any sense. If you don't try to understand someone, you're not going to be much of a partner to them. Besides, women aren't really that mysterious. It's just that men haven't been listening.

For any human being, love and understanding are ongoing processes, they are not static. The ones who succeed are the ones whose actions and thoughts continually reinforce this.

Every woman is different, some can be easy to understand and some are hard to get but I dont think having both are impossible it just depends on the woman

In the regular and natural case, the two are usually connected, it's the definition of love that most people get mixed up with. A lot of people struggle with what the definition of love is. Most people believe they should love whatever they can find in a person that they expect to get, something like satisfying a need. Some people want to possess women as trophy wives and mix that with love.

Hmm interesting. I am pretty straightforward and make things simple with communication. Easy to understand in most respects. I believe one can have both however. (Then again....sigh)
