has anyone ever felt like they like some other culture better then their own?

has anyone ever felt like they like some other culture better then their own? I like the Chinese culture better then my own. I like my own after the Chinese culture. they have a beautiful buildings and nature. this could just be because I dont know as much about it so I am interested in it once I know more it might not be as interesting.

I am in awe of all cultures other than the on in the country I'm from. I was born and raised in England and when my grandparents came here in the 60's in order for them to get ahead they were forced to assimilate and Be more British. Mockery was made based upon the way they speak. The way they dressed the food they ate, just who they were as people. They didn't pass on a lot of things to us because of fear. I am a foreigner wherever I go.
I love people who embrace their culture and are proud to be authentically themselves.
I am fighting to find out who I am in this process of growing.

@Peppa I am very proud of my heritage on both sides of my family ,there are good things and bad things in most of our histories ,and I am not responsible for the mistakes of my forefathers no more then I am any part of the injustices done to both of my great grandmothers people who were natives ,,not native Americans ,,they were here first
Though I love the scenery and wonders of other countries ,we also have enough of that in our own if we just look and since a lot of my forefathers died to give us the freedoms so many of us take for granted ,,I stopped doing a lot of things the year I couldn't walk ,and one of them was taking simple pleasures for granted ,and one of them is no matter where you are
You have the ability to make it your sanctuary or your hell
the choice most of the time is ours
If you think where you are is hell ,try not walking ,see if its not a lot worse

I don’t really like any culture, I just like big cities where people can do whatever they want without being burdened by any traditions or cultural practices
I love other cultures and the differences! I hope that we can all maintain our separate cultural identities and not let them all devolve into one amalgamation of utter mediocrity!

The reasons you mentioned are vague. What do you really like about the Chinese culture?

@EugenieLaBorgia rumors go that JP Sartre did not believe in God because of some lines he wrote. But by the end of his life he regretted that what he took as a mere intellectual gymnastics others made it their PhD thesis. Haha.
It's not the same story here. I like you a lot Eugenie. My post was addressed to Girlfriendcollecting. I like when you go nuclear though haha it's hot.
@eMortal Don't listen to rumours.
@eMortal I like most things about their culture their traditional music the guzheng Xiao and I like their nature and traditional Chinese characters, I love dragons. Im big on new years I think it should be the biggest holiday because it is focused on celebrating the family ancestors and also thinking about future years. I like their food and I like the hard working mindset. if you want me to keep going let me know.
dosent that sound beautiful? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujzMHLac404

I like Japanese culture quite a lot apart from the over-working part.

Appreciating parts of other cultures doesn't mean they are better than yours.

I have a huge affinity for the English sense of humor, the Japanese and German attitudes toward engineering and quality, but in no way would I be anywhere but here in the US. I do know one Anglophile who put her money where her mouth is and now lives in England, as she has for 20 years, but that's it.
