has anyone ever felt like they like some other culture better then their own?

has anyone ever felt like they like some other culture better then their own? I like the Chinese culture better then my own. I like my own after the Chinese culture. they have a beautiful buildings and nature. this could just be because I dont know as much about it so I am interested in it once I know more it might not be as interesting.

I have a huge affinity for the English sense of humor, the Japanese and German attitudes toward engineering and quality, but in no way would I be anywhere but here in the US. I do know one Anglophile who put her money where her mouth is and now lives in England, as she has for 20 years, but that's it.
