@Nimbus Out of curiosity, how does that compare to apprehensions made [i]elsewhere[/i] in the US? (In other words, finding illegal immigrants who got in another way, outstayed visa, etc?). What are the relative numbers of border-hopping people at the Mexican border, and illegal immigrants coming into the country in any other way? (A very common example being overstaying [or sometimes fraudulent] student visas).

Better walls are useless against vehicles that enter legally carrying stowaways.
