40 lbs to lose 1 year after baby? Serious weight Platuea

Had little one 11 months ago. I gained 90 LBs. I wasn’t even eating that much, it was just like every single thing I ate piled on during that 9months. Well here I am, a year later and I’ve lost about 50 lbs. I’ve worked out, dieted all of it to get there. Now I’ve been stuck in a solid platuea for about 5 months. I’m counting calories, I’m working out - tracking my calories in calories out. Working so so hard. And I’m completely stuck. I’ve been tested for so many disorders - thyroid, hashimoto, PCOS - I have serious signs of PCOS (chin hair, acne, at one point insulin resistance - and have forever ! But my blood results NOW after baby, are all coming back normal supposedly. I’ve seen 3 different specialist to make sure. I just am at such a loss. I’m so much bigger than I used to be. I thought surely at 9 months I’d be back to postpartum weight and with all the effort for sure! But it’s not happening - the weight is totally stuck. Anyone have this happen? Did you do anything to get it to budge?

90 lbs is a lot of weight to put on. The most family & friends have put on was 60 lbs.

You may need to change up your workout routine, eat much cleaner, & lessen your calorie intake more. If you’re still nursing, that should help.

It’s good that your results are coming back normal. But if you feel you need a second opinion, then seek it. Maybe you may want to consider working with a nutritionist & personal trainer as well.

Good luck

Stress can mess with metabolism and caring for a baby can be stressful. Also tied down indoors so much more.
Work out never helped me loose weight as far as I can remember. I just stopped eating wheat and sugar(completely cut out all wheat and sugar). The weight dropped so quickly, now I'm thin. If thin is what you want drop all wheat and sugar from your diet. If you want a cheat day than maybe once a week, only for an hour. After that, no wheat and sugar for the rest of the week. Stock up on fruit and veggies, lean meat etc.

Keep at it! I gained ~50/60 during my pregnancy. I lost 10/15 that first month and it took me ~3 years to loose 30 with diet/exercise.

The last 25ish I just finally lost this year since March [she's 7] after I started intermittent fasting. I can't do many cardio things because of an injury but 18 hr clean fasts are working out well for me.

If you're counting calories and you're not losing weight, then you just need to decrease your calories again. Your metabolic rate will change after losing 50 lbs.

@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy at least 10k, I wear Apple Watch to count. Yes carbs now, wasn’t but doc said cholesterol was high so he didn’t recommend keto.. I’m kind of thinking about going back to it anyway.. gotta admit tho it’s torcherous!
