No as long as it's legal. I think this society likes to shame almost everything and label it as "wrong" and that everything is suppose to be perfect and it makes people ill. It's not ideal because there can be problems due to level of experience in life and the person older will die sooner but if people are happy and it can work, who is to say it is wrong?

I have no problems with age gaps myself. I definitely love older men which is why my hubby is 9 years older than me.
I do have a problem if someone is old enough to be someone's parent or grandparent though. I can NOT get past the creepy factor of that. It seems so unnatural and wrong to me.
Also I do believe that things might seem fun and fine at first in a large age gap relationship, but eventually the age gap will ruin the love. What kind of 35 year old wants to be taking care of their 75 year old spouse? It will be then when the regrets will set in and they will feel trapped, instead of loved.

Because of what's associated with age gaps. Older people generally have more experience, more money, more status, etc. That imbalance of power and knowledge with someone younger than them can be used to manipulate them to do their bidding. People's brains don't stop developing until their mid-20s, so if you're going out with someone younger than that you're literally dating someone that is mentally underdeveloped
That's a difficult situation if one or both parties are considered to be mentally under developed as is the case with certain conditions and relationship combinations. But I understand that a person can use a position of power to manipulate but that is saying more about that person's personality than age gaps in general.

@causernamebemyusername: You can go even further and look at interests or hobbies. What kind of interests will a person in their 40s and a person barely out of high school share? What is driving the two together in the first place?
Usually the connection is squarely based on what one person can provide the other. And if an older person has more power and ability than the younger, then they are in a better position to take advantage of them
