In the relationships you've been in, do you tend to put yourself or the other person first?

I have been married for over 30 years and most of the time I have put her first but there are times I need to take care of myself first.

Always the other person .... for as long as I am not compromising my values and who I am

Used to put them before me. But I've changed. Now it's my health and sanity above all else.

I try first and foremost to feel good mentally in the relationship , and then don't really bother about it . As long as I feel I'm being heard and not dismissed and I don't dismiss the other person also . But it is unfortunatelly unevitable for either party to feel kind of unheard of due to lack of communication
