And don't go in with the "I'll change him" mindset either.

Finally, if you met him on the street the first time and his pants were halfway down his ass and he was wearing a stretched out wife beater undershirt, don't come to us a couple of years from now complaining about how badly he treats you. You did pick him after all.

My wife had always been with guys that she ended up supporting and taking care of. When we started seeing each other she told me in no uncertain terms that she wanted someone who would take care of her too. I assured her that I was not like that, and 16 years later she has yet to be disappointed or regret it. But setting too many boundaries and being too strong can possibly lead to a person missing out on a wonderful relationship...that's when the "picking" becomes "picky".😉

Yeah good advice, but I have a whole different opinion bout "the one" or "the right man or woman". It's putting a set of standards and expectations on one person that they won't also be just as human as everyone before them

I put my poor hubby through 6 months of hell before I finally fell for him... he says he was on the team as soon as we met , I took a bit longer
