Did you ever go back to the company you resigned from? How did it go?

They offered me a position 9 months after I said goodbye.
Sounds like the replacement for you fell on their face and they regretted you left. I returned to a previous employer (aerospace company) only once. They needed a competent computer person and new I could hit the ground running. It was good money but after two years, talks with the union broke down, they left town and two-hundred families were out on their ass. I learned a hard lesson even though I actually fell in love with the work.

Would I do that again. Fuck no. Does a bank need a robbery?

@softspokenman and how was it?
When I gave them my letter of resignation it was with a 2 weeks notice. Three months latter I was asked if I would come and talk about a problem that they were having. It turned out to be they wanted to know if I was happy at my new job. They didn't want to offer me a job they wanted me to ask for one. 2 weeks latter they called my new employer and told them that they were going to file charges for stealing me away. I never knew that there was a job opening at the new company until the 2nd week of my notice when I saw an Ad in the Newspaper. That threat didn't work either but it was nice to know that I was wanted.
