How do you get over heartbreak?

saintsong · 41-45, F Best Comment
Give yourself some TLC take a nice long hot bath, wear your most comfortable robe and enjoy a cup of tea or hot cocoa and read a great book or watch a movie that will take your mind off of them. It's okay to mourn, cry let it all out, think about the good times, know that they did love you, they just grew apart over time. But know that you were loved. Just don't mourn too deeply, don't make any rash decisions like you'll never love again or you're unworthy of love because those are lies, you will love again and you are already loved by many such as friends and family with a different kind of love. Surround yourself with those loved ones and love them. Don't wish for them to come back, let them go, make the effort to let them go....In time it will get easier to let them go and you won't want them back.....Time heals all wounds. You were good enough, but it's time to work on yourself to make yourself a whole person the person who you want to be, so that you are a whole person a happy person when you meet the next person whom you'll fall in love with. God is close to the broken hearted....

I’m still a virgin though but I did jump from one guy to another

I try to laugh & talk about it with friends. Then I build a wall around my heart.

You either need to become playgirl/boy...or cry in the corner
How? Easily. I don’t get why people pretend that it’s so hard to do. Just dump them and forget about it.

What do you think would help?
CVictor · 26-30, M
@Nutshell29
Do you think he’ll give you that?
Nutshell29 · 26-30, F
Probably not if he hasn’t yet @CVictor
CVictor · 26-30, M
@Nutshell29 Okay so the question now becomes, what can you do. Right? If it doesn't seem like he'll give you any help or closure.

Getting back out there or sulking, either one works
Allelse · 36-40, M
With time, comfort food and body breaking exercise.
You don't. It's one the hardest thing to overcome

Cry. Then find a new lover.

Time and distraction.

With another.

Everyone is different. You have to find what works for YOU. That said, stay busy with work, projects, etc. Getting into another relationship isn't always the best thing.
Cannabro · 36-40, M
@uncalled4you gave best answer here... I agree because getting a new relationship right away is just a crutch or leads to quick rebound sex ... if it works for you then whatever but you might regret it later in life
Nutshell29 · 26-30, F
I’m still a virgin and everyone keeps telling me to forget him and find another but I’m not going to @Cannabro
