When my Great Aunt Ada married her neighbour from across the street. She wasn't prepared to give up her house and neither was he and they both liked their solitude.
So when ever she wanted him for a bit of nookie she'd bang a wooden spoon on a pot and he'd come running. 😰

It takes a lot of trust and patience ... if you have a connection you just do it ... expensive, though

I've had several and bonded very close to them. Eventually a point is reached where you should close the distance or move on. But I'd do one again.

First lived in Virgina while I lived in Ohio. She wasn't just first LDR but first relationship and other firsts. Second was from Seattle when I had just finished college in Florida. Third was a couple years after that ended, she was only one state away though so less severely distant.
