How do you know if someone really loves you?

They’ll show it and they won’t be embarrassed to take you anywhere and show you off. It won’t only last for a month or two. They’ll be respectful of you. They won’t want to hurt you or humiliate you in any way, or abuse you. They won’t be controlling. They will stick with you through thick and thin and they will never cheat on you or lie to you.

When they see me at my lowest and still stick around.

They show you with their actions

If he/she has seen you at your absolute worst, has seen you thru sickness; if your gut and heart say "he loves me"; trust it.

As others have said, they've seen you at your lowest point and are still there for you. If that's not love, it's pretty darn close.
