This reminds me of the subreddit r/niceguys which makes fun of that sort of mindset. In my opinion, someone isn't truly nice if they are only doing it to get the other person to like them then if that doesn't work out make the other person look bad. 馃し Not everyone is going to like me, so when I pursue someone I try to make sure that even if they don't feel the same, sure I will be upset but I will be glad to have made a friend. 馃槉

馃 I don't feel like I'm a nice guy... I feel like I'm too nice at times which can get me in trouble... 馃 But I feel like I'm as bas as I am good... 馃 My nice acts balance out with my horrid acts it seems... 馃 Or at least in my experience that's been my case...
馃 I've always wondered what it's like to think you're just this great terrific only nice person??? 馃樁

A lot of people who advertise they're nice, are not really nice. They just want to be perceived nice.

@SW-User Agreed. If someones nice they show it through their action rather than them having to constantly tell people how nice they are.

@NaturallyPeculiar I've seen men say horrible things about how women are and cry about being single because they're so nice. And I wonder when they'll connect the dots in their mind.

Decades ago, being a 'nice' person meant you were a decent human being. Now, being a 'nice' person is a slur, thanks to the people who tried being nice and got shot down, regardless if they were really nice and got stepped all over, or 'nice' to try and hide their assholery.
I didn't like being called 'nice' back in the day because I saw it as a death knell, 'nice guys finish last' and all that. Now, I don't ever want to be associated with the word 'nice' due to this recent development.

NaturallyPeculiar 路 26-30, F
@approachingmyexpirationdate True. There is no nice or mean. Just spleen or no spleen. Lol Kidding.

@NaturallyPeculiar that was so poetic.
what is macbeth had said "to spleen or not to spleen?"

@approachingmyexpirationdate We'd have Hamlet over in his play going "To be or not to be?" then we'd have Macbeth being all like "To spleen or not to spleen?"
10/10 would like Shakespeare so much more.
