I Don't Want Kids

I talked to a colleague yesterday. He said his 10 month old daughter had an interview (also with the parents) for a pre-kindergarten nursery class for 1.5 years old. After that she would take an upper such class, and then attend kindergarten at 3 years old.

I feel crazy how our society has become, going to school at 1.5 years old. My colleague thought it s crazy too. But if you don't follow, your kids would suffer.

Work life balance never exists in my city, and it only gets worse and people would live with more pressure as time goes on.

I don't want kids to go through this, and I don't want to go through this for/with my kids. So I have none.

People who make different choices than your colleague can also be happy and raise well-adjusted children.

Maybe that’s the Statist plan, to discourage young families with children. For people who want kids, work around the system. Home school if you can. In some districts they want to serve dinner to kids. The purpose is to keep them in school even longer for the indoctrination. Ever hear the children belong to the State and not the parents. I am not a parent but they are losing rights and control every day. CPS is absolutely criminal, among others.

@Oster1 you are so right! Parents need to keep control.

Where I live it is not uncommon that parents take one-year-old kids to pre-kindergarten, if they can afford it. Otherwise grandparents usually take care of them if parents work. Very sad.

@Cierzo people here hire full time maids are not rich, they have to choose between hiring maids or quitting their jobs. Child care centers, like other welfare facilities here, are scarce.

@Sssslm I remember being shocked at the sight of huge groups of Filipino maids in the squares and streets enjoying their day off.

@Cierzo yes every Sunday, and in the parks too. They live with their employers and don't have their own place here, so they gather in the public places. It s not comfortable sitting outside in the heat for a whole day though.
