If you receive an Amazon delivery that isn’t yours...

And the address is a couple streets over in the same development, do you deliver it or keep it?
Frank52 · 70-79, M
I've re-delivered a few over the years. I would hope someone would do the same for me.
I deliver it. I'm not a thief, and I at least have a shred of honor left.
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
I'd drop it off to where it belongs
minxy · 46-50, F
Had that happen repeatedly when first moving in, kept delivering it to the rightful owner. Now, I just text the owner of the package and they stop by and pick it up.
Frank52 · 70-79, M
@minxy That's very fair.
minxy · 46-50, F
@Frank52 Yep, I figure that if it were me, I would like to know. Since all the front door areas look the same for the most part.
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
Yes its usually for the houses on either side of me. Only a couple times, I just put it on their porch
I tell them to stop buying from amazon
AbbeyRhode · F
It's happened, and I bring it to them.
GLITTER · 36-40, F
Depends what’s in it
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
@GLITTER Lol! You have such a big heart Glitter.why you hate your neighbor? Lmao!
GLITTER · 36-40, F
@Eddiesolds cuz they’re arseholes 🤣
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
@GLITTER lmfao!
Piper · 61-69, F
I would, and have, taken parcel deliveries to the correct address. If I'd mistakenly opened it, I'd tape a note of explanation to the package.
@Piper I dropped it at their front door with an 'apology for opening' note.😌
4meAndyou · F
I would deliver it. For two years, I used to work phone customer service at the corporate office of Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and we had many people call in, looking for their packages just before Christmas.

The sad thing was that we would find the signature of the office manager in the apartment building where the package was left on the UPS signature sheet, or a scribbled undecipherable mess of a signature, from someone who planned to keep the package.

We had to re-ship a LOT of packages because the first ones were misdelivered.
I deliver parcels that come to me if the correct recipient isn't too far away. Usually they're just a block away or next door.
SW-User
I'd deliver it. It's what I'd want someone to do for me.
@SW-User Yeah, well I'm still waiting on whoever received my paper towels. 😆
Peapod · 61-69, F
I always take it to whom it is meant for. I would hope my neighbors would do the same for us.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
I have had that happen with UPS deliveries. I always deliver it.
I’d put it on our mail desk with a note to the carrier. There’s no way I’d keep it.
KuroNeko · 41-45, F
Sapio · 46-50, M
Deliver it and explain what happened so hopefully the person can get some of their money back for the cost of shipping.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
I used to deliver it but now I call so that the supervisor is aware the person can’t read numbers or street names.
Gangstress · 41-45, F
I hate parcel etiquette
Lockdown needs to end so I can go shopping!
SW-User
Deliver it. Not a thief
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
@SW-User nice
Thanos · 31-35, M
SW-User
There's probably a phone number on it? Call them to come get it.
I'm not a fan of knocking on unknown doors but I'll deliver it as a last resort.

Keeping is never an option.
@SW-User No phone number on it.
@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP It sure did, but didn't include my house number. The townhouses are very similar around here. I'll drop it off when I go out.
If you want the karma shit-hammer to fall on you then you definitely keep it wtf
@DrawntoaDistance You're acting like I stole it.🤣

If it wasn't close, I certainly wouldn't be setting out on a road trip just to deliver it.
@DreamyCrush
I know I know I’m just playin 😂
Jeffrey53 · 51-55, M
I’ll call Amazon and tell them they delivered it to wrong house they will send a delivery person to pick up the package
exexec · 61-69, C
Deliver it. Doesn't happen much with Amazon, but frequently with USPS.
Nobody00 · F
Never keep other ppl stuff. Thats stealing
SW-User
I don't steal stuff
@SW-User I don't either.
DownTheStreet · 51-55, M
Mine now! 😈
MarineBob · 56-60, M
It's amazon not the post office feel free to toss it out
Oh, btw, warning to those who would be reluctant to do the honest thing: sometimes delivery confirmations come w/photographs of your porch.
MURD3RM0NK3Y · 26-30, M
I deliver it. I'm not that much of a piece of shit
Ingwe · F
illegal to keep
@Ingwe Actually when I called Amazon, they said it was at my discretion. If I want to keep or discard it, fine, or if I wanted to deliver it, fine.

People might be averse to receiving their package that's already been opened, [although I taped it back once I realized it wasn't what I ordered].
Rickg · 31-35, M
I would....for a fee
caesar7 · 61-69, M
I would deliver it. It would bother me to have that in my conscience if I kept it.
