What does this even mean?

Other person: "You look pissed."
Me: "I'm not. Why do people say that?"
Other person: You just always look like you're pissed."
Me: That's how I look. I'm not pissed.
Other person: "Well, maybe it's because you are so emotionally absent."
Me: But, I told you, I'm not pissed."
Other person: "Well, don't be so cold."
Me: At this point, I feel pissed and I spend most of the day thinking about whether I really am emotionally absent and why this person thinks I am.

Moral of the story, who cares what others think. People judge us and they don't even like themselves so best to just ignore their opinions.

I get the same thing sometimes. Guess we have to walk around with a clown smile plastered on our faces to avoid looking mad

Well perhaps you are a bit cold (I don't know), but that's just you. As long as you're not mean then.. be you in the way you're comfortable with.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@MartinTheFirst Yeah, that's true on both counts. I don't even know why it annoyed me.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@MarkPaul I understand why it annoyed you

it's not how you want to see yourself
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@MartinTheFirst Yeah, that's true too. I was minding my own business and was confronted with this and yeah, that's not how I want to be perceived. But, I don't want to just conform for some petty human reason. I mean I wasn't pissed... I'm not cold... I know all about my emotional issues, but it's not like I'm emotionally absent. Damn!
