Next Sunday will mark one hundred years since the end of the First World War I found this old photograph on-line recently and thought I'd post it on SW I think it's First World War veterans at their local Railway Station LEST WE FORGET

My great uncle died at Ypres, ive been to Belgium, his name's amongst the lost on the Menin Gate, he left a wife and seven children.

@SW-User I'm really sorry to here about your Great Uncle it's bad enough a single man dying but a Father of seven children that's really tragic

@senghenydd as a child I heard stories of how family and neighbours had to help raise his children, no social benefits then, hard times. Visiting Ypres the gate and the other memorial sites, including German burial sites is an harrowing experience, there's nothing good about war!

@SW-User No there's certainly nothing good about war all we can do is respect the anniversary 11th November each year I have my late Fathers' medals which I've cleaned up and will be at the Cenotaph
