Yes, you may have had a seizure. I would highly recommend seeing a neurologist, or go to the ER. I have seizures but I go from being normal to being laid out on the floor having convulsions. No warnings or anything, and they usually happen in the early morning when I'm waking up.
I'm on dilantin and taking the medication completely stops any seizures. Although, I have a feeling that sometimes I have mini-seizures and just don't know it. I've recorded myself sleeping, and it's scary watching yourself move about.
If it happens again, first thing they need to ask is, what is the date, what's your name. Did you lose any body heat? I lose all my body heat after a seizure.

@mayguy I haven't had another one since this post was made
mayguy · 46-50, M
@Thatonekid236 Whew! 👏 Do let us know if that changes, ok?
My episodes are different to yours...
I usually start off with a dizziness sensation, then my vision starts to go black - if I don't listen to my body and rest at that point, then I hit the floor.
I have felt sick with it, but I haven't actually been sick as you describe.
It is something that you need to seek medical help with because that sounds like some sort of seizure and only a doctor can refer you to further testing to get to the bottom of what happened to you.

Did you get checked for epilepsy?
Sounds like an epileptic seizure that you had
Not a huge deal but there’s meds you can have on hand to help if you have another

You need to see a specialist and be sure you’re okay 😔
Have you noticed a headache before or after that happens?

@MellyMel22 nope. I felt completely normal then Bam felt like I was gonna die. I knew I was fainting but i never had such a extreme faint before.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Thatonekid236 Doctor. I will keep saying this.
MellyMel22 · F
@Thatonekid236 You should try to see a good neuro. I hope you’re okay..

it does sound very much like a seizure. my cousin has seizures.
did you feel extremely tired afterwards?
did you feel extremely tired afterwards?
Thatonekid236 · 26-30, F
@SW-User i did for about 30 mins when i was trying to gather enough strength to clean up my puke. But then after i got my strength back i went straight to the ER. The people in the ER told me if it was a seizure then id be too tired to come there. But honestly i was tired but i was also scared of having another episode so i went anyways.

SW-User
@Thatonekid236 i can imagine your tiredness being challenged by concern. i would have gone no matter what too.
Allelse · 36-40, M
I don't faint but when I have partial seizures I loss conciseness for a few minutes and talk a bunch of gibberish. But I do pass out and fall over when I have a seizure.
Is there any chance you're pregnant?

Does being drunk count
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
As soon as I started reading it i thought seizure.
I’m obviously not a doctor so I can’t say it was or wasn’t brought on by you fainting but to me it sounds like you may have something neurological going on causing you to have seizures.
You really need to get this checked out as soon as possible. To be honest I wouldn’t discourage you from going to the er 🤷🏼♀️

@DeluxedEdition I guess I was just hoping it wasn't one because ive read online that some people can pass out and look like theyre having a seizure but not actually having one. I plan on seeing a doctor very soon.

Get a thorough check up. Meet a good doctor

You need to get checked cause that does not sound Normal at all
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
That's how a seizure is normally described. You need to see a neurologist.
I had several tetany attacks but I never puked or passed out. If doctors won't find anything you could try taking magnesium which helps with tetany but from what you described it sounds more serious.

I don't think I have ever heard of that combo of stuff. Kind of reminds me of a severe panic attack though. But you'd know if you were afraid or not. Are you okay now though? Has it happened more than once?
Thatonekid236 · 26-30, F
@canusernamebemyusername Before I passed out I was watching a video of a girl getting her belly button pierced and thats when I started to feel like I was going to pass out. Although i didnt feel scared i just felt like i was gonna pass out.
@Thatonekid236 That could have done it actually. Cause I have had that same reaction to stuff that was not pleasent to look at. I had to get a joint tap once and even though it didn't hurt I still had those same symptoms. Minus the vomiting. But it still felt like I would anyway.
kodiac · 22-25, M
The stomach pain and puking doesn't happen to me when i have a seizure.Unless you pulled a muscle in your stomach but that wouldn't go away quickly. Do you get a metallic taste before you pass out?
Thatonekid236 · 26-30, F
@kodiac no. I just feel really weird. Almost like I took a drug and am about to start tripping. Thats the only feeling i can use to describe it.
kodiac · 22-25, M
@Thatonekid236 Sounds like you need a second opnion other than the doc you saw.
