I have more than a few times from my husband because I have talked back to him, been overly disrespectful it’s part of our marriage that I accept his authority.

@susker09 It furthered my dissociating in a big way. I remember blacking out when it was happening. I was conscious, but I couldn't see, hear or feel anything. I got a lot of practice at that, and unfortunately, carried that tool into my adult life. It saved my life at the time, but these days, it's in the way.

The only time I was slapped I knew it was going to happen. My GF and I were on stage preforming the fight scene between Katherine and Petruchio from [i]The Taming of the Shrew[/i]. In the process she slapped me and kicked me in the shins. I, on the other hand, dumped her off my lap onto the floor and spanked her. It was great fun but I was sore for a week.
