I Can't Fit In With People

A colleague sitting next to me is always talking about her children / her bearing children. No matter whom she talks to/ what topics she talks about she could fit in her children into the conversation. Many people working here have children and are interested in talking about their children too. I feel I cannot fit in here. I have no children, and am not interested in getting married nor having children. Maybe nowhere in the world will I fit in, but I think it s really odd to talk about your family all the time in the office.

It is normal to sometimes talk about your children if you are a parent. But it is not, and it is rude, to talk ALL the time about them. Not talking to those people is not a loss at all, more the opposite.

@Cierzo I will avoid conversation with people different from me.
