I Think Politics Is Becoming Too Extreme

The Democrat primaries are coming up. An older Democrat strategist appeared on MSNBC yesterday, and said he is terrified for the future of the Democrat Party because he says they have no message.

He said that every time it looked as though they might have a message, some nut comes out and scares everyone by suggesting crazy things like criminals voting from jail. He said that whenever a political party caters to the extreme fringes of their party, they will lose.

IMO, there are a lot of very young people and first time voters who are not aware of a very basic fact. Some politicians consistently LIE to get elected. They will look you right in the face and LIE. They will promise you the moon...anything you want...they will tell you that you can have it if only...if only you will just VOTE for them to put them in office.

That is why it is so important to ask for details. For example, what will this program cost? Can our country afford to pay that much? Will my taxes go up? How much? Will other government programs have to be cut to pay for this program? Which ones? How much will they be cut? What will be the effect on the people who benefit from that program?

I love my country, and I love the kids who are coming up now, and who will eventually run the country. I can't imagine anything worse for them than having to work hard ALL the time and live in poverty because of huge taxes to pay for big government programs. And worse than that would be not having any job at all because our businesses flee the country due to huge taxes.

Because our politics have become SO extreme, I would just like to ask our kids to PLEASE ask these questions BEFORE you vote. Don't vote for someone who is lying to you.

Our politics have become extreme. Some crazy person on here blocked me because I said that I was going to watch the State of the Union Address.

@SW-User I saw your post. The extreme fringes are not doing our nation a service. And some of the most extreme people are not exactly...normal.

That's what happens in a world where the rich becomes richer and the poor becomes poorer and what comes out of that is a world war

Didn't you support Donald Trump in certain posts? 😅
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@4meAndyou Well, it costs time and money, and it takes away time from other courses.

@Kwek00 I know...it's always money, isn't it...and we really need to have these kids in school day and night to learn the huge amount of information we really need to teach them...but..not gonna happen in the real world.

@4meAndyou I didn't say that 😅 but it's a choice we all make. And I'm not sayin that we need to teach them a huge amount of information. But I think that a course in how you deal with information is important, specially in a ge where so much information is availble.

It must be exhausting for GOP supporters that spend so much time keeping up with the Democratic Party, personally i and a lot of Democratic Party supporters I know have no time to keep up with GOP news and such.
