I Remember Where I Was On 9-11
Stunned Disbelief... I can remember that morning clearly...
I was fast asleep when my girlfriend came into the bedroom and said in an odd tone that we were under attack. I sleepily replied "That's nice...so what else is new?" not thinking for a second she meant it was happening on US soil.
A few minutes later she came back in saying "They just blew up the second World Trade Tower!"
Still half asleep and trying to be completely asleep, I said "That's nice...good for th..."
I sat bolt upright. Wait...what??? The Trade Towers??? As in New York??? WTF?!?!?
I went out to the living room and sat down next to her just in time to see the live feed of the second tower falling a few minutes later. For the next few hours we sat glued to the TV in pure disbelief. All I could think was that this must be at least similar to how people felt listening to the reports of the Pearl Harbor attack.
