@TexChik You do know that the plague still exists in not only China but also in USA, Mexico, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia, Japan, New Zealand, most every large nation in the world still has cases of it. It's very easy to cure now with modern medicine and basically nobody dies of it anymore. This isn't like a new shocking thing.
TexChik · F
@BlueMetalChick no but it exists in areas of squalor ... transmitted by fleas from rats
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@TexChik Indeed, illnesses thrive in places that are unsanitary.

The Bubonic plague never really went away...most every major country in the world still has recorded cases every now and then.

@Donotfolowme I only know about it because I read it in an issue of Scientific American while I was on an airplane like six years ago.

The US has 1-17 cases of the plague every year. It isn't that uncommon and it now treatable.

The bubonic plague was once the world's most feared disease, but can now be easily treated.
Maybe someone cursed them...lol

@Mandalorian They've had cases of it for longer than either of us have been alive. So has every other large country in the world.
