"oh but murder is wrong" - unless your government says it is okay - but only if the people are wearing a certain type of clothing.
"but stealing is wrong" - many museums have items that were "liberated" from other countries and won't return them.

The only standards any individual can use are his or her own. However, assuming that "we" know anything together, including "what is right", is a false assumption.

Most people have a certain amount of innate goodness in them, some more than others. I see it in little kids before they're taught much of anything, that's how I know.
