I Need to Come Out of My Shell

I put on this fake personality in public and with people who I am not used to spending much time with in person, and I do it because I think people won't like the real me. But the truth is, they like they fake me less than the real me.

Lol same I do it at work. I'm so uncomfortable about being the real me that I pretend to be really different and I even pretend to be stupid on purpose, I don't know why I do it. I'm trying to stop lol.

I relate so much to that. It's sad what lengths we go to to be popular when you think about it.
And also, when I was fake, I wasn't attracting the right people for my life either.

@MarkPaul I think it's, in a way, how I was taught to act in public, especially in school. Because it probably made me easier for teachers to handle. But this wouldn't be the first thing I was taught by an authority figure that I've determined was false, so you are correct: it's time to kick that bastard out of my life.
